The Department of MCA conducted a workshop on “Data Structures and Algorithms for Competitive Programming” on 31st May 2025, featuring Mr. Ankit Kumar, Senior Software Engineer at Oracle, Bangalore, as the guest speaker. The session aimed to enhance students’ coding and problem-solving skills through hands-on training in core algorithmic concepts.

     Key topics included the importance of data structures, time and space complexity, searching and sorting techniques, and advanced structures like trees and graphs. The workshop also covered dynamic programming, recursion, and optimization strategies. Students practiced live coding on platforms like Codeforces, LeetCode, and HackerRank, gaining exposure to real-world challenges.

      Activities included technical talks, live demonstrations, hands-on sessions, and discussions on career paths in Software Engineering. The workshop successfully strengthened students’ algorithmic thinking and prepared them for future competitive programming and technical interviews.
