The Department of MCA organised an Expert Talk on “Building Production–Ready Applications with Flask” on 24th January 2026, featuring Mr Karan S Jadhav, Senior Software Developer at Riversilica Technologies Pvt Ltd, Bangalore. The session introduced Flask as a lightweight, flexible, and powerful Python web framework used in modern web development.

Students learned how to transition from basic applications to production-ready systems through best practices in structure, security, and deployment. Key concepts such as routing, request–response handling, templates, and database integration were explained with relevant real-world examples. The resource person also covered environment configuration, API development, and writing complex SQL queries.

Testing, debugging, and optimisation strategies for improving performance and reliability were highlighted during the session. Special emphasis was placed on project organisation, the effective use of extensions, and ensuring deployment readiness. Practical demonstrations helped students connect their academic projects with real industry applications.

The session motivated learners to explore backend development with Python and build confidence in developing functional web applications. An engaging question-and-answer segment allowed students to clarify their doubts and share insights. The talk proved highly informative and inspired students to apply Flask in internships, research work, and industry-ready projects.
