OBJECTIVE OF THE WEBINAR:
- To understand the importance of automation and why we need automation
- Understand the importance of writing automation scripts to test web applications
- How selenium can help in the process of automation
CONTENT AND DESCRIPTION :
The Dept. of MCA, New Horizon College of Engineering conducted a workshop on “Why Automation” on the 29th of October 2020. 75 plus MCA students attended the workshop and got benefitted.
Dr. K.G. Madhwaraj, Professor, Dept of MCA welcomed the CEO of Mentors Pool Mr. Ankit and the resource expert Mr. Bhanu Sai. The HOD of the MCA Dept, Dr. V. Asha, also welcomed and thanked both of them for conducting a workshop for the students.
Mr. Bhanu Sai gave a complete introduction of software testing especially manual testing. He introduced why testing is important and introduced selenium web driver and the selenium environment set-up to run automated scripts. He also showed a complete demo on executing a few programs on how automation is performed
Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. K.G. Madhwaraj, Professor, Dept of MCA. The MCA Dept would like to thank our Management, Principal and our HOD for permitting this workshop in our department.
