The students from MCA Department, New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore visited ‘Madhu Mansion Trust’ (An Orphanage Home for kids), Marathahalli, Bangalore on 28.01.2023 as a part of social activity.

The orphanage has children of the age group from 4 years onwards and has a total of 45 children. Our MCA students have visitedthis trust and taught them about the basics of Computers and Animation using Scratch tools. A power point presentation was shown to them for their better understanding of the basics of computers like hardware, software with its working principle. The children were taught with the usage of animation tools. They were educated to animate the images, texts and pictures. They learnt to name or animate any content using Scratch tool. These topics were exceptionally innovative to them along with fun-based learning for those children. They have shown great enthusiasm and interest in understanding of these concepts. Later, our MCA students conducted various competitions like Blind Artist, Making Pyramid using Cups, collecting items by blasting balloon to those children. Our MCA students taught them craft works and drawing for those children.

As a token of appreciation and love, our students distributed gifts to the children which included various stationary items. Our students donated grocery items, lunch boxes, water bottles, juice bottles snacks and chocolates to all the children in the trust. We are happy that our MCA students were able to contribute to those children and our efforts were appreciated by the trust authorities. We would like to thank our Management and Principal for giving us this opportunity. Our MCA students have learnt a lot from this experience, and it will help them in their future endeavors to do the most excellent to the society.
