The Department of MCA, in association with Prinston Smart Engineers, organised a guest talk on “Automation with Selenium” on 19/12/2025. The session aimed to explore the fundamentals of web automation, testing practices, and career opportunities related to Selenium. The resource person for the session was Mr Yuvaraj V, Technical Specialist at Cubic Logics, Bangalore.

He began with an overview of SharePoint, explaining its features and applications in organisational collaboration. Students learnt how SharePoint supports document management, workflows, and effective team communication. This introduction helped them understand the role of collaborative tools in modern software environments.

He then introduced Selenium, highlighting its importance in automating web applications. The speaker emphasised the growing demand for Selenium skills in the IT industry and explained how automation testing improves software quality while reducing manual effort. Various testing methods, including manual and automated approaches, were also discussed.

Practical examples made the concepts engaging and easy to understand. The interactive session included questions on testing fundamentals and real-time applications. Students actively participated by sharing their views and clarifying their doubts.
