Ms. Vidyashree, working as Sr. Technical Lead (Software Engineering) in Tessolve Semiconductor, Bangalore. She has 8+ years of experience in Industry. She is an Alumni of MCA Department.

The expert talk was conducted

• To provide an overview of Qt framework
• To give an insight on how Qt can be integrated with Visual C++
• To design GUI using Qt Designer.
• To create Qt application from VC++

Content:

Dr. A.P. Nirmala, Associate Professor, Department of MCA organized the Expert Talk on “Exploring the essentials of the Qt Framework” on 14^th May, 2022 for I semester MCA students.

Dr. A.P. Nirmala introduced and welcomed the speaker, Ms. Vidyashree, Sr. Technical Lead(Software Engineering), Tessolve Semiconductor. The session has started with the introduction to different frameworks which are widely used for creating the application.

The speaker gave the overview on Qt Framework. Qt is a cross-platform software for creating GUI as well as application development framework that enables you to compile and run your application on various platforms such as Windows, Mac OS, LINUX or Embedded systems.

She demonstrated on how to create a simple application in Qt framework with Visual C++. She also showed to create dialog based app in Qt Framework.

The session was ended with vote of thanks and the speaker was felicitated by Dr. A.P.Nirmala with momento as a token of appreciation.

Outcome:

The expert talk was very useful for all participants to know the importance of Qt framework. The students were getting an insight on this framework to use with different platforms and to understand how to create an application in the framework.
