Expert Talk-Cyber Measures over Cloud
On January 10, 2025, the Department of MCA hosted an expert talk titled “Cyber Measures over Cloud,” led by Mr. Vedanth Ramachandran, Workforce Scheduling Analyst at Amazon Development Centre India. The session covered cloud computing’s scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness in modern enterprises. Key topics included cloud computing’s role, cybersecurity, real-world computer networks, AWS data storage, and protecting personal data. The importance of cybersecurity measures was emphasized, along with the significance of computer networks and AWS’s secure data solutions. The session also addressed REST API, ETL, EC2, Amazon Lambda, DynamoDB, and Amazon Redshift. The talk concluded with a focus on the Cambridge Analytica scandal, highlighting the need for ethical data handling practices.
