CONTENT AND DESCRIPTION :

The Dept. of MCA, New Horizon College of Engineering conducted an expert lecture “Preventing Cybercrimes in Financial Institutions” on the 06th of May 2022. 77 students of MCA I Semester, IV Semester and VI Semester and 10 faculty attended the talk and got benefitted.

Mr. Immanuel Howe has worked at several universities in South Africa. He was the Chairman of the Research Committee at IDM and was responsible for actively promoting the research culture in Eswatini Campus. His research interests are Personalized Learning, Cybersecurity, Cybercrime, E- learning, Blended Learning, Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and Information Security.

Dr. K.G. Madhwaraj, Professor, Dept of MCA welcomed Mr. Immanuel L. Howe, Faculty, Department of Computing. Later, the resource person highlighted the importance of cybercrimes and its increase in the recent years. He mentioned how students can involve themselves in decreasing the number of cybercrimes by contributing towards research activities. He also said that students should think of developing new algorithms and ensure the stop of cybercrimes.

Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. K.G. Madhwaraj, Professor, Dept of MCA. The MCA Dept would like to thank our Management, Principal and our HOD for permitting this lecture in our department.
