Objective:
On 27th February 2021, brief session on “Current Trends in IT” was conducted by Alumni Sri Raksha to highlight the importance on Aptitude and technical skills. This program was hosted by Department of MCA, NHCE. It was held for students of IV Semester MCA students to provide guidance and overview of recruitment process.
Content:
The Guest lecture mainly focused on how the training to crack the interviews goes about. The talk gave an overview of the steps taken by the placement department to train the students. The training will be conducted for a duration of 45 days where the first half they focus on aptitude training. Experts from various company train the students in various areas. Second half emphasis on improvising the technical skills by focusing on coding and solving pseudocode. The talk was very briefly arranged in a very clear way that it was very easy to understand.
We also got to know their interview experiences for various companies, what are the rounds involved and how to go about in each round. Its always good to add details in resumes in which we are completely thorough with. Students are required to be thorough in at least one language and one technology. Its always good to say I don’t know when we are not sure about the topic, then saying yes and failing to answer. Coding is a must and its good to be strong in at least one language. Communication skills plays a major role to express our skills and showcase our knowledge.
We also got an insight of what kinds of questions may be asked and hard work is key to success. In order to crack the interview and grab the offer it involves practice and hard work put in.
Conclusion:
The talk was very elementary and was easy to understand. This talk motivated us to start working on oneself to have a better future.
