Objective:

April 26^th, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at falconry hall an Expert Lecture session on “Cloud Security Trends” was conducted by Vasanthram S. This program was hosted by Department of MCA, NHCE. It was held for students of MCA – IV &VI semester students to get insights on the AWS, Networking, Cyber Security.

This was a hands-on session and the concepts and methods were explained for securing the cloud network. A huge data centre, where the CPU, Memory and Storage together makes a virtualized way, you can select out of that how much you want for cloud computing. He explained the students about the rental structure of cloud computing like AWS, how we can rent multiple processors, how much you want space without physically purchasing them or else rent is being given by number of visits. He explained about firewall. What is the role of firewall. A firewall acts as a security guard that monitors or polices the outgoing and incoming packets from/to your network. To avoid the hacking or to avoid the robbers to rob the data from the cloud, the concept Cyber security comes in the role. How robbers rob the data by opening the header of the packet and they change the source address or destination address temporarily. Cyber Security is the protection of computer systems and networks from information disclosure, theft of or damage to their hardware, software, or electronic data, as well as from the disruption or misdirection of the services they provide.

The session was arranged to explain the major methods in a very clear and understandable way. This session was extremely useful and beneficial as it covered major topics from the elective syllabus. It was an interactive session.

Conclusion:

The session was very effective and helped in understanding how to secure the computer and be aware of sending data from public network. All social Media sites are free but it is not actually. They have our personal data as payment.
