Extending a Helping Hand": MCA Department's Social Outreach at Makkala Dhama, Devanahalli
On 24th July 2026, the Department of MCA organized a social outreach activity themed “Extending a Helping Hand” at Makkala Dhama, a residential children’s home in Devanahalli, Bengaluru. Second Semester MCA students distributed essential groceries collected through voluntary contributions and conducted a technology awareness session to introduce children to digital learning concepts and safe internet use.
Beyond material support, students spent time interacting with the children, encouraging them toward education and confidence-building. The visit was reciprocated with warm hospitality from Makkala Dhama’s staff, who expressed gratitude for the department’s initiative. Students described the experience as rewarding, citing personal growth in empathy, teamwork, and communication skills.
The activity reflects the MCA Department’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility, blending community service with technology outreach — and sets the tone for similar initiatives in the future.
