SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS
Workshop on Performance Engineering Excellence using JMeter and LoadRunner

The Department of MCA organized a workshop on Performance Engineering Excellence using JMeter and LoadRunner on December 3, 2025. The session was conducted by Tanushree Paul from Capgemini, who shared valuable industry insights. The workshop focused on building a strong foundation in performance testing and application efficiency. Students were introduced to key concepts such as scalability, responsiveness, throughput, and user experience. The session also covered essential testing types including load, stress, spike, and endurance testing.
Participants gained hands-on experience in creating and executing test plans using JMeter. They learned about thread groups, samplers, listeners, timers, and assertions through practical demonstrations. The LoadRunner segment familiarized students with VUGen, Controller, and Analysis components. Real-time scenarios helped students understand how to simulate virtual users and monitor system behavior. The workshop emphasized interpreting performance metrics like response time, throughput, and error rates. Students actively engaged in lab sessions, performing tests and analyzing system performance under varying loads. The interactive nature of the workshop enhanced their confidence in applying performance engineering techniques in real-world projects. Overall, the event successfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation, benefiting all 45 participants.
