MCA Induction Programme for Batch 2025–2026

The Department of MCA conducted a five-day induction programme to orient first-semester students towards academic, professional, and personal development.
Day 1 introduced students to autonomy and academic guidelines, credit allocation, and syllabus framing, followed by a session on library resource utilisation, covering digital repositories and automated services.
Day 2 focused on Intellectual Property Rights and Design Thinking, placement orientation, and career planning strategies. Ice-breaking activities encouraged peer interaction, while sessions on KSCST projects and student clubs promoted participation in research and co-curricular activities.
Day 3 highlighted NPTEL and MOOC guidelines, emphasising their role in continuous evaluation. The Institution’s Innovation Council session encouraged entrepreneurial thinking and industry collaboration. Students also engaged in team-building activities and heard placement experiences from seniors.
Day 4 featured discussions on research paper publications, patent filing, and department practices, including exam protocols and dress code. A session on funding opportunities for startups showcased incubation support for aspiring entrepreneurs. Student-led activities such as debates and tech quizzes enhanced engagement and critical thinking.
Day 5 covered mentoring guidelines, IEEE conference participation, and counselling support for emotional well-being. The programme concluded with interactive student activities organised by the FOSS Club, fostering creativity and teamwork.
Overall, the induction programme successfully familiarised students with academic processes, institutional resources, and opportunities for holistic growth, laying a strong foundation for their MCA journey.
